Ergonomics were an important consideration in the design of this hand-held dye injector. An industrial design clay model was reversed-engineered using CMM point data, and converted into a fully parametric Pro/Engineer surface features. In spite of the exterior complexity, the model was easily shelled.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) was used to ensure adequate stiffness was designed into critical areas, and the final database was "manufacturing ready", including all internal ribbing, bosses, draft and rounds.
